Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Two in-person Special Education Teacher positions are available in Shaftsbury, VT, focusing on elementary-level education with flexibility to support high school students if needed. Candidates should be licensed in Vermont for K-12 or eligible for a K-12 provisional license.
Key qualifications include:
- Vermont K-12 teaching license or eligibility for provisional K-12 license
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Highly qualified status in Special Education
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 15 students
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized education tailored to students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with school staff to support student development and inclusion
- Participate in scheduled after-school meetings, notified in advance
- Provide consistent progress monitoring and documentation for assigned students
Work schedule:
- Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Periodic after-school meetings with advance notice
