Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team in South Deerfield, MA. This strategic HR leadership role partners with management to provide professional human resources guidance and support across the organization. The Human Resources Manager will oversee key HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, performance management, compliance, training and development, and health and safety initiatives while ensuring adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional with strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and experience driving organizational effectiveness in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership to support business objectives by developing organizational capabilities, processes, and workforce strategies.
  • Forecast staffing needs and support workforce planning initiatives.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions, including onboarding and new hire orientation.
  • Manage employee relations, coaching, conflict resolution, performance management, exit interviews, and outplacement support.
  • Review, update, and maintain job descriptions and assist with compensation analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including EEO, ADA, OFCCP, and Affirmative Action requirements.
  • Develop and maintain the company's Affirmative Action Program and complete required reporting, including EEO-1 and VETS filings.
  • Recommend, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that support organizational goals and ensure fair, consistent employment practices.
  • Lead and participate in HR projects, process improvements, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Develop employee feedback programs that promote engagement and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate HR metrics and recommend process improvements to enhance organizational performance.
  • Support learning and development initiatives while promoting knowledge sharing across departments.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and workplace policies.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports while supporting hiring, performance evaluations, compensation recommendations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a comparable organization.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and compensation.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Active involvement in the HR profession through networking, continuing education, certifications, or professional organizations.

Preferred

  • Experience with SuccessFactors or a similar HRIS.
  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP certification.
  • Manufacturing or industrial environment experience is a plus.
