About the Opportunity
A global leader in precision manufacturing technology is seeking an Electrical Controls Supervisor to support machine build operations and lead the integration of control systems across high-performance production equipment.
This mid-level role is ideal for an experienced controls engineer ready to take the next step into leadership. You’ll work directly with senior engineers and management, guiding a small team of 2–3 while remaining hands-on with electrical design, PLC programming, and machine commissioning.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor a small team of controls engineers and technicians on electrical and automation projects.

Design, review, and implement electrical control systems, including hardware layouts, schematics, and documentation.

Support PLC and HMI programming, integration, and debugging (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley platforms).

Coordinate with mechanical and software engineers to ensure seamless machine functionality and project alignment.

Oversee machine installation, startup, and customer runoff—both in-house and occasionally on-site.

Review project progress with management, tracking schedules, labor hours, and costs.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards throughout the build process.

Provide technical guidance to resolve issues quickly and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

5+ years of experience in controls design, automation, or machine tool systems.

1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Proficiency with EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical and industrial network systems (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Canbus).

Working knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7, WinCC, or Allen Bradley Studio 5000.

Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.

Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational ability.

Willingness to travel occasionally for installations or customer support.
