Multiple clinics hiring for medical assistants across greater Boston, part and full-time contract roles.
Part time schedule: Mon/Tues/Weds/Fri, day shift
Full time schedule: M-F 8-5:30
Responsibilities
- Performs all functions including assisting with the processing and disposition of patients, facilitating patient flow, assisting with procedures and applying wound dressing.
- Accurately performs patient intake and patient/room preparation duties, using two patient identifiers.
- Keep physicians and patients up to date on patient volume and waiting times during sessions.
- Maintain biopsy and procedure logbooks, in compliance with BWH and department standards. Inform patients of laboratory and pathology results as directed by physician.
- Responsible for drawing local anesthetic.
Requirements
- Medical assistant certification, diploma, or registration
- At least 1 recent year of clinical experience
- Epic experience
- CPR certification strongly preferred
- OK with contract/temp position
