Position: Sterile Processing Manager
Location: Tamarac, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Days (No Weekends)

Facility Overview:

A well-established, 300+ bed acute care hospital in South Florida is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Manager to lead and oversee Central Sterile Processing (CSP) operations. The facility offers a broad range of surgical and medical services, including specialized orthopedic and spine programs, behavioral health services, stroke care, emergency services, wound care, and accredited diagnostic imaging.

Job Summary:

The Sterile Processing Manager assumes leadership responsibility for the Central Sterile Processing Department (CSPD). This role supports the Director of Surgical Services in the orientation, development, and management of department personnel. The Manager ensures compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards related to instrument processing, sterilization, and supply management while maintaining efficient departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of daily CSP operations.

  • Assist in hiring, training, orienting, and developing sterile processing staff.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and infection control standards.

  • Support policy and procedure development, review, and revisions.

  • Monitor sterilization processes and instrument tracking systems.

  • Maintain quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Surgical Services leadership to ensure efficient OR support.

  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Certification from an approved Central Sterile Processing technical program.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).

  • 3–5 years of sterile processing experience (required).

  • Lead or supervisory experience in an acute care setting (required).
