Position Summary

The Electrical Foreman oversees field electrical employees (Licensed & Apprentices), ensuring that all work meets safety standards, project specifications, and company quality expectations. This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising electricians and apprentices on-site, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring materials and manpower are effectively managed so the project is successful.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead crews of electricians and apprentices on commercial, industrial, or residential projects.
  • Plan, layout, and coordinate electrical installations based on blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and profecting with Blue Beam
  • Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors to coordinate work.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to ensure project deadlines and milestones are met.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections to verify that installations meet required standards.
  • Ensures Company Safety Standards are adhered to on-the-job sites.
  • Order, track, and manage tools, materials, daily jobsite pictures, and equipment for assigned jobs.
  • Mentor apprentices and junior electricians to promote skill development and adherence to best practices.
  • Maintain accurate daily job reports, time logs, and material usage documentation.
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues quickly to minimize project delays.
  • Follows company policies and procedures, ensures assigned employees comply as well.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Minimum 58 years of electrical experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Valid journeyman or master electrician license. Must be licensed in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island
  • Minimum 58 years of electrical experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Strong understanding of NEC codes, electrical theory, and construction processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, testing equipment, and electrical construction tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • OSHA-10 required, OSHA 30-hour certification preferred to start and need to be completed in the first year.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.


Working Conditions

  • Work performed primarily on active construction sites.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, heights, confined spaces, and electrical hazards.
  • May require extended hours, including nights or weekends, depending on project demands.
