Echocardiograph Technologist
Role Summary
Seeking a skilled and compassionate Echocardiograph Technologist to join their dedicated cardiovascular team at a leading medical center in Newberg, Oregon. This is a part-time, day shift position offering a collaborative work environment where your expertise will directly contribute to patient-centered, whole-person care.
As an Echocardiograph Technologist, you will perform advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures using cutting-edge technology, assist with a variety of specialized examinations, and support physicians in delivering exceptional cardiovascular care. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible external candidates—on top of a robust benefits package that begins on your first day.
Duties

Perform comprehensive cardiac ultrasound exams in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.

Accurately identify cardiac abnormalities using expert-level knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

Assist in complex procedures, including:
-
Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
-
Echo-guided trans-catheter procedures (location specific)
-
Pericardiocentesis and myocardial biopsies (location specific)
-
Contrast-enhanced exams
-
Exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography
-
Adapt imaging techniques for special clinical situations to provide high-quality, cost-effective diagnostic information.

Ensure all procedures comply with standards set by the American Society of Echocardiography and internal protocols.
Required Qualifications

Licensure/Certifications (upon hire):
-
Oregon Sonographer License
-
One of the following national credentials:
-
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI)
-
Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (CCI)
-
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)
-
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
-
Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from a CAAHEP-accredited program in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography.

At least 1 year of cardiovascular ultrasound experience, or minimum 800 exams using all imaging modalities.

Pediatric echocardiography experience.

Familiarity with advanced heart failure patient imaging, including mechanical circulatory support.

Experience supporting trans-catheter echo-guided procedures (specific to St. Vincent Medical Center).
