Job Title: Registered Nurse – NICU
Location: Neptune City, NJ
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts Per Week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Neptune City, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate critical neonatal patients and collaborate closely with neonatologists and physicians to execute comprehensive plans of care.

• Identify immediate patient needs and determine clinical priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

• Perform advanced therapeutic nursing interventions tailored to high-acuity neonatal requirements.

• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in accordance with professional nursing standards.

• Advocate for evidence-based practice and support quality improvement initiatives.

• Provide family-centered care and education to patients' families and caregivers.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

• Maintain flexibility to float to Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) settings as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program.

• Active and unrestricted New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License or valid Multi-State Compact License.

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

• American Heart Association (AHA) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.

• Minimum one (1) year of recent NICU or related high-acuity pediatric nursing experience.

• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills.

• Ability and willingness to float to Pediatrics and PICU units as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

• Experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU setting.

• Previous experience caring for critically ill neonates and high-risk newborns.
