Job Title: Registered Nurse – NICU
Location: Neptune City, NJ
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 3x12-Hour Shifts Per Week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Neptune City, NJ.
Responsibilities

Evaluate critical neonatal patients and collaborate closely with neonatologists and physicians to execute comprehensive plans of care.

Identify immediate patient needs and determine clinical priorities through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Perform advanced therapeutic nursing interventions tailored to high-acuity neonatal requirements.

Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in accordance with professional nursing standards.

Advocate for evidence-based practice and support quality improvement initiatives.

Provide family-centered care and education to patients' families and caregivers.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Maintain flexibility to float to Pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) settings as needed.
Required Qualifications

Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program.

Active and unrestricted New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License or valid Multi-State Compact License.

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

American Heart Association (AHA) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.

Minimum one (1) year of recent NICU or related high-acuity pediatric nursing experience.

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills.

Ability and willingness to float to Pediatrics and PICU units as needed.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU setting.

Previous experience caring for critically ill neonates and high-risk newborns.
