Job Description

Our client is hiring for a Director of Property Accounting in Atlanta. This role oversees financial reporting, property-level accounting, and compliance requirements across a commercial real estate portfolio. The position requires strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast‐paced environment. The ideal candidate brings deep real estate accounting experience and a proactive, solutions‐oriented approach. Commercial property accounting experience is a firm requirement.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and prepare reporting for all assigned properties.
Maintain accurate records, operating files, and financial data while supporting audits and annual budget preparation.
Oversee system administration in MRI, including loan compliance reporting and cash management.
Lead, train, and retain accounting staff while supervising Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
Ability to accurately record and classify financial transactions.
Supervisory experience with strong organizational skills and the ability to motivate and develop staff.
Self‐starter and team player with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
