Must be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB or hold Nuclear Medicine certification ARRT(N) and have a minimium of 1+ years Nuclear Medicine experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Nuclear Medicine and CT Technologist opportunity is available in Rancho Cordova, CA, offering a contract position with a reputable healthcare facility. This role demands solid experience in nuclear medicine alongside computed tomography, ideal for candidates with a strong background in advanced imaging techniques and patient care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Nuclear Medicine; 3 years preferred
- Proficiency in both Nuclear Medicine and CT technology
- Current CNMT certification and state licensure required
- Experience with nuclear cardiology procedures and various scanning techniques including HIDA, MUGA, PET, and ventilation/perfusion studies
- Skilled in administering pharmacological stress tests and drawing venous blood
- Familiarity with handling and disposal of radioactive materials
- Ability to start IVs and implement isolation precautions
Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of nuclear medicine and CT imaging procedures accurately and safely
- Manage patient preparation, positioning, and imaging equipment operation
- Ensure quality control and compliance with safety standards regarding radioactive materials
- Conduct stress tests and manage imaging during exercise and pharmacological stress protocols
- Rotate weekend and evening call as part of a collaborative team
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 5x8 hour shifts
- Start time options: 06:30 or 07:30
