Job Overview
We are a NYC-based consulting firm seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Strategist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills and a solid understanding of business processes. This role involves collaborating with various departments to identify opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Client relationship management: This will include the performance of regular strategy and client relationship calls and in-person meetings, as well as solicitation of feedback on satisfaction and cost analysis.
- Strategy reporting: Collaborate with the Director of Quality Assurance and VP of F & A Services to define, develop, and improve reporting and other strategic materials/processes to assist the client in gaining an elevated understanding of their business to help them make better business decisions and enjoy greater success.
- Process creation and F&A team training: The business analyst will create reporting systems, materials, and delivery systems, coordinating with the Director of Quality Assurance, the VP of F&A Services, and the CEO. The business analyst will also provide training and support for accountants on the financial models they develop.
- Business Development: Manage the client's growth by assisting and selling additional NF services.
- Client engagement analysis: The strategist will consider the client's profitability and fitness, communicate feedback and observations for improvement, and coordinate client training, pricing, staff training, process changes, and scope definition to maximize the benefit of the relationship.
- Foster strong and profitable relationships with clients by reducing client loss and improving satisfaction: Drive client success by helping them to grow, be profitable, and develop a strong brand reputation through guidance and advice, relationship and referral development across clients, and access to other resources aimed at success. Improve service offering by working with the Director of Quality Assurance; increase engagement, both across the client base and the NF service delivery teams.
- Work primarily from home but visit clients in California, DC, NY/NJ area (6-8 trips total a year).
- Participate in leadership development programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- More than 5 years in corporate finance, including financial operations, communications, and reporting responsibilities
- Client relationship and people management experience
- Exceptional project management, time management, analytical, research, and written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the utmost attention to detail.
- Advanced financial software expertise, including GLs (QuickBooks), financial reporting, and Microsoft Excel
Salary: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
