A well-established and privately held company in the construction and manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist II to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is looking to grow within a stable organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Process subcontractor, material, overhead, and reimbursement invoices in accordance with company policies and contract terms.
- Ensure accurate job coding and obtain necessary approvals before issuing payments.
- Collaborate with purchasing and project management teams to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain and update vendor records, including W-9s and tax exemption certificates.
- Reconcile vendor and credit card statements.
- Address payment inquiries and resolve billing issues promptly.
- Provide guidance and support to junior AP staff.
- Prepare monthly accounts payable reports and assist with other accounting functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience.
- Experience with job cost accounting in construction or manufacturing is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, and Sage 300 CRE (formerly Timberline).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in a supervisory or mentoring role is a plus.

- Competitive salary range: $62,500 – $70,000, depending on experience.

Work Schedule
