Administrative Assistant – Roseville, CA (3-Month Contract, Potential Temp-to-Hire)
Employment Type: Full-time, 3-Month Contract with potential for extension or permanent hire
Pay Rate: $25-28/hr
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team in Roseville, CA. This is a full-time, 3-month contract position with the potential to transition into a permanent role. The role is based at our asphalt facility, so the ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a construction environment that may be dusty and have a strong asphalt or oil odor.
This is not a front-desk position. The role focuses heavily on data entry and administrative support, with minimal public interaction. You will work independently and report directly to the plant manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform extensive and accurate data entry using Microsoft Excel and Google Suite, with a focus on Google Sheets.
- Process and manage tags, invoices, and purchase orders (POs).
- Maintain and organize both digital and physical filing systems.
- Prepare, edit, and proofread documents and reports.
- Support general office operations, including ordering supplies and processing expense reports.
- Assist with various administrative projects and data management tasks as needed.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Location: On-site at our asphalt facility in Roseville, CA. The office is a well-equipped on-site trailer.
- Environment: This is a construction setting. Be prepared for dusty conditions and the distinct smells of asphalt and oil.
- Hours: Standard 8-hour shifts with a flexible start time between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, with no weekend work required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive).
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, particularly when handling numerical data.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in a similar administrative or data entry role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience generating reports or performing basic data analysis.
- A background in accounting or an analytical field is a plus, especially for a potential transition to a permanent role.
Additional Information
- A company cell phone will be provided for direct calls, as there is no traditional office phone.
