Puglisi Egg Farms is looking for a full time plant manager at our Howell egg grading facility. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, good mechanic, and fluent in both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a hands-on leader in all areas of the grading plant
- Create the daily run schedule and supervise machine changeovers
- Maximize up-time of the plant by continually monitoring machinery and making timely adjustments and fixes as necessary
- Provide technical and hands-on assistance (electrical/mechanical/plumbing) to maintenance on major machine breakdowns and issues
- Maintain and continually improve the preventive maintenance program
- Keep an adequate inventory of spare parts available to support maintenance
- Maintain safe and clean working conditions
- Maintain and continually make improvements to the Safe Quality Food program
- Train new team members
- Motivate, train, and coach team members in a positive and effective manner to reach their fullest potential
- Communicate with sales, distribution, and warehouse personnel to ensure the timely and accurate production of customer orders
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership/supervisory position in manufacturing
- Ability to operate with a sense of urgency and perform under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong oral and written communication skills
