Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Commercial Service Plumber to join our team. This role is ideal for a technician experienced in performing small plumbing repairs, repipes (drain, water, gas), and drain work (cabling, camera inspections). The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship in a commercial environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform service and repair work on commercial plumbing systems, including water, drain, and gas lines.
  • Complete small plumbing repairs such as leak repairs, fixture replacements, valve replacements, and pipe modifications.
  • Execute full or partial repipes for drain, water, and gas systems in commercial settings.
  • Conduct drain cleaning and cabling to remove clogs and blockages.
  • Utilize camera inspection equipment to diagnose and locate drain line issues.
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding diagnosis, options, and repair process.
  • Complete all work orders and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, codes, and company standards.
  • Maintain tools and company vehicles in clean, working condition.
  • Collaborate with dispatch, estimators, and supervisors for seamless job coordination.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial plumbing service.
  • Proficient in small repairs, repipes (water/drain/gas), and drain cleaning technology.
  • Experience with plumbing camera inspection equipment (RIDGID, Spartan, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time
  • Experience in commercial property maintenance or service contracts.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing with focus on repipes and drains
  • Proficient in small repairs, repipes (water/drain/gas), and drain cleaning technology.
  • Experience with plumbing camera inspection equipment (RIDGID, Spartan, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and safety standards.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds. Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, stoop, bend, squat, open doors, and climb/ descend stairs
  • Operate standard office equipment (computers, phones, copier, fax machine or scanner)
  • Moderate lifting may be required (15-20) pounds
  • Ability to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per day
