The YMCA is dedicated to creating safe, supportive spaces where teens can connect, grow, and thrive. As a Teen Program Instructor, you’ll play a vital role in building positive relationships with teens, ensuring a safe environment, and delivering meaningful programs that inspire confidence, connection, and community.


What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement afterschool teen programming in alignment with YMCA best practices
  • Supervise teens throughout branch facilities to ensure a safe, welcoming environment
  • Manage behavior effectively and serve as a positive role model for YMCA values
  • Support relationship building among teen participants and with their families
  • Actively engage in programs by leading activities, preparing snacks, setting up/breaking down spaces, and promoting other Y programs and events
  • Create curriculum plans, program schedules, and supply lists to support daily operations

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for working with teens and supporting youth development
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict management skills
  • Ability to supervise and engage with youth in a positive, constructive manner
  • Experience in youth programming or recreation preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Shifts available: Monday - Friday 3:00 - 6:00p

Additional hours available during special events, Teen Nights and Leaders Club
