The Director of Nursing at IAM-3Rivers oversees nursing services to include supervision of all ICF RN’s, LPN’s, and CNA’s.? As a key member of the leadership team, the DON fills in for the Chief ICF Administrator as assigned and works with the Director of Programming and Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) to ensure the supervision of the direct support staff and coordination of individuals supported services.



Compensation:

Starting wage range: $80,704 - $100,880 - dependent on experience

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all levels of personnel and provide leadership when dealing with stressful situations.?
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. and assist with lifting of individuals served.?
  • Ability to remain calm and function well in stressful and emergency situations.?
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.?
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time at a VDT monitor and do repetitive tasks such as typing.?
  • Works indoors in well-lit and ventilated rooms. Possibility of cuts or minor burns from equipment. May be exposed to communicable diseases. Possibility of injury due to moving or interacting with individuals supported.?

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a State approved school of nursing
  • Current and valid registration as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of service delivery systems for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Experience with regulatory oversight, compliance (including MaineCare services , and quality improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex systems, lead through change, and promote a positive organizational culture.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and comfort with data systems and electronic documentation platforms.
  • Valid and insurable Maine driver’s license required.
  • Ability to pass required background checks, to include: Adult/Child Protective Services; criminal history; OIG Exclusion list; National Sex Offender Registry; Bureau of Motor Vehicles record; and Maine RN Registry.
