BMS Moving & Storage is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Customer Service Coordinator to support the successful planning and execution of household goods relocations. In this role, you’ll be the primary point of contact for customers throughout their move, ensuring a smooth, professional, and exceptional relocation experience from booking through delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the main liaison for customers from initial booking to final delivery, providing timely updates and proactive communication.
  • Coordinate move logistics by scheduling pack, load, and delivery dates with dispatch, operations, and agency partners.
  • Review and verify all paperwork to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Manage changes, delays, or exceptions in the move process, ensuring all updates are communicated effectively to customers, crews, and internal teams.
  • Track shipments and monitor move progress through internal systems, updating customers on status and delivery windows.
  • Address customer concerns with professionalism, empathy, and efficient problem-solving.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records within the CRM/move management system.
  • Support sales and operations teams by documenting customer requirements and ensuring proper execution.
  • Assist with post-move follow-ups and customer satisfaction surveys to help drive continuous improvement.


Education & Experience

  • High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in moving, relocation, transportation, or logistics is a plus but not required.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Calm, solution-oriented approach when handling challenges or time-sensitive issues.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to quickly learn industry-specific software.
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to collaborate across departments and time zones.
