LOCATIONGreenville, South Carolina 29615-4614 COMPENSATION $44-51 per hour, full benefits offeredSCHEDULEOnsite, 40 hours a week Monday-Friday1st shift hours of 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. CONTRACT TERM1 year with high likelihood of extension or conversion to full time employee.POSITION OVERVIEW – The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for providing design liaison engineering (DLE) support to GVL manufacturing. This will be specifically centered on rotor & unit assembly areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review, evaluate, & define solutions to manufacturing issues as they arise.
- The evaluation piece of this work will require analysis through hand calculations, CAD, FEA, &/or other internal tools used to evaluate deviant hardware.
- Will support DLE initiatives to drive defect reduction through improved engineering definition & improved manufacturing processes.
- This scope of work can require support in revising engineering specifications & drawings.
- Conduct technical reviews to substantiate rework &/or acceptance criteria.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
