Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Taunton, Massachusetts. This is a Contract-to-Permanent opportunity designed for an individual who excels in managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounts payable, general ledger processes, and the ability to solve problems independently.

Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices.
• Maintain deposit accounts and oversee daily cash balances.
• Reconcile and balance cash accounts to ensure proper tracking of financial resources.
• Record journal entries and maintain organized financial documentation.
• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary financial reports and documentation.
• Utilize Peachtree software to efficiently manage bookkeeping tasks and financial data.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and improve financial processes.• Proven experience in bookkeeping, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks and Peachtree software.
• Strong understanding of general ledger processes and financial reporting.
• Ability to perform bank reconciliations with attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Solid organizational skills for managing multiple financial tasks.
• Familiarity with audit preparation and supporting documentation.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
