The Production Control & Planning Manager ensures production plans translate seamlessly into results. Serving as the link between Engineering, Drafting, Purchasing, and Operations, this role oversees scheduling, capacity planning, and material flow to deliver projects on time and within target. The right candidate will bring structure, urgency, and precision to the production process.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, monitor, and adjust production schedules to align with customer orders, capacity, and resource availability.
Coordinate closely with Engineering and Drafting to ensure timely release of drawings, BOMs, and project documentation.
Partner with Purchasing to confirm material availability, lead times, and vendor commitments to support schedule adherence.
Lead production control meetings to communicate priorities, resolve bottlenecks, and update stakeholders on schedule status.
Review and track revenue forecasts and delivery schedules to ensure targets are met.
Create and oversee creation of RFQ packages for submittal to vendors for quoting and purchasing.
Maintain visibility of WIP (Work in Progress) and coordinate with production supervisors to balance workload and throughput.
Create, maintain, and report KPIs related to on-time delivery, schedule accuracy, and material performance.
Identify and implement process improvements related to planning accuracy, communication, and lead-time reduction.
Collaborate with leadership on capacity planning, manpower forecasting, and inventory optimization initiatives.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or project management within a manufacturing environment; steel fabrication or utility pole experience preferred.
Strong understanding of BOM structures and production control principles.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP software
