About the Role
Our firm is partnering with a leading manufacturer in the powersports and recreational vehicle industry to find a Central Sourcing Support professional. This contract role supports a fast-paced sourcing organization within a large, complex supply chain environment. The position is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, highly organized, and enjoys collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to keep sourcing operations running smoothly.
This role supports Category and New Product Introduction (NPI) sourcing teams by managing daily and weekly sourcing activities that ensure supplier performance across four key priorities: Delivery, Quality, New Product Integration, and Cost Competitiveness. Job Description
As a Central Sourcing Support professional, you will provide tactical, hands-on support to the sourcing organization. You will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, follow established work instructions, and help maintain and improve sourcing processes as they evolve. In addition, you may assist with meeting administration, presentation organization, and document management.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Relations
- Request bills of lading and shipping documentation from suppliers
- Enter cost changes, tooling requests, and part updates into sourcing systems
- Support sourcing projects as requested by sourcing team members
- Assist with new supplier onboarding and supplier profile updates
Sourcing Priority Management
- Track, manage, and communicate progress of daily and weekly sourcing tasks
- Maintain accurate and current costing information
- Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities in processes and workflows
- Partner with suppliers, operations, planning, accounts payable, quality, and engineering teams to resolve invoice quantity discrepancies and other issues
- Perform other duties as assigned to support sourcing objectives
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (email and phone)
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Ability to professionally represent the client by building productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred
- Prior materials, purchasing, or sourcing experience
- APICS CPIM and/or ISM C.P.M./A.P.P. certification
- Experience analyzing data, pulling reports, and working within multiple business systems
- Experience creating and managing PowerPoint presentations
