Job DescriptionSalary: $50,000-$60,000 annually, commesurate with experience

Ridgeview Classical Schools seeks a Director of College Advising & Registrar. This key administrative position is focused on ensuring student success in the classroom and beyond, and requires balancing the efficient maintenance of student academic records with the strategic processes of college and career counseling. The position reports directly to the Headmaster and collaborates closely with the Academic Dean, the Dean of Students, Front Office staff, teachers, families, students, and external college admissions departments.

This role requires an enthusiastic professional who possesses strong organizational and interpersonal skills, a genuine interest in the wellbeing and potential of each student, and commitment to Ridgeviews goal to ensure that every student is prepared to go From Here, Anywhere.


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Oversee a comprehensive college and career advising program that supports a caseload of approximately 50 students per year (juniors and seniors) in exploring, preparing for, and applying to post-secondary opportunities (colleges, universities, trade schools, military, gap year programs, etc.);
  • Build relationships with college admissions departments by hosting college visits and attending professional workshops and conferences;
  • Track and analyze application outcomes, acceptance rates, and scholarship awards to refine program effectiveness and highlight student successes;
  • Collaborate with the enrollment team to ensure accurate student registration, transfers, withdrawals, and course scheduling;
  • Maintain accurate physical and digital student records in the student information system (SIS) and provide training and support to faculty and staff on PowerSchool best practices;
  • Collaborate with the Dean of Students and Academic Dean in creating the master schedule, student and teacher schedules, and balancing class sizes to support instructional needs;
  • Manage cumulative records, transcripts, grade reporting, GPA/class rank calculations, honor roll preparation, and permanent academic files in compliance with state/federal regulations (e.g., FERPA, state graduation requirements);
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements (attendance, enrollment, graduation data, etc.); liaison with the district for reporting processes and accuracy; audit records during state audits or accreditation processes, as necessary.


General Leadership and Administrative Duties

  • Serve as a key member of the school's leadership team, contributing to student success and retention.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive student information and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and best practices.
  • Use technology and data systems effectively to generate reports, track trends, and support continuous improvement in both advising and records functions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address students academic and post-secondary needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Headmaster to support overall school operations.


A successful candidate will demonstrate alignment with Ridgeview's mission and culture, excellent writing and communication skills, independent organization and time-management skills, expertise in data management, and sensitivity to the needs of students and parents throughout their Ridgeview experience.


A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree in education administration or a related field is preferred. Prior experience with PowerSchool SIS is not required, but is beneficial.
