Job Title: Logistics Technician III
Location: Fairport, NY (100% Onsite)
Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Shift: B Shift | Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM EST
Pay Rate: $22/hr
Position Summary
We are seeking a Logistics Technician III to support production, logistics, and warehouse operations in a clean and organized manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will assist with material movement, inventory transactions, production support activities, and facility sanitation while ensuring compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily production and logistics operations by moving materials and processing transactions through production systems.
- Prepare materials for production and warehouse activities.
- Perform inventory picking and storage using Vertical Lift Modules (VLM) and mobile racking systems.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and material carts to transport products and supplies safely.
- Maintain accurate records and update production systems as required.
- Interface with manufacturing and document control systems.
- Perform building sanitation and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment.
- Train team members on operational procedures and responsibilities.
- Conduct scheduled van runs between company facilities to transport parts and materials.
- Follow all work instructions, safety procedures, and cleanroom requirements.
- Assist with additional production support activities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1–2+ years of work experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production or warehouse environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Warehouse, shipping, receiving, logistics, or material handling experience.
- Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems.
- Experience working in manufacturing or production environments.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift or move materials up to 5 lbs.
- Occasionally lift or move materials up to 15 lbs.
- Rarely lift or move materials exceeding 25 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform material handling tasks throughout the shift.
Work Environment
- Cleanroom manufacturing environment.
- Required PPE includes safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, facemask, and cleanroom garments.
- Minimal exposure to hazardous or disagreeable conditions.
