Compensation Packages
Local Candidates (Hourly Pay): $48-$55
Travel Candidates (Weekly Take-Home Pay): $1690-$1900

Speech-Language Pathologist Job Duties

Conduct evaluations and assessments of students speech, language, and communication needs

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) with therapy goals

Provide direct speech-language therapy in individual and group settings

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success

Adapt therapy methods and materials to meet diverse student needs

Track and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary

Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
Federal and State Requirements
-
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
-
Current Texas state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and other applicable education laws

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Texas school districts
