The Analyst, Asset Management plays a critical role in supporting portfolio performance through financial analysis, data management and reporting. The position combines responsibilities from asset management, business intelligence and systems support.
The Analyst collects, validates and analyzes property-level financial and operational data; maintain dashboards and reporting tools while supporting budgeting and forecasting. This role ensures data accuracy and operational transparency across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and analyze monthly financial, occupancy, leasing and delinquency data to identify trends and variances
- Review monthly financial statements, flag variances and support NOI, DSCR, CapEx and cash flow analysis
- Develop, maintain and enhance dashboards, trackers and reporting models in all critical areas of the portfolio
- Assist with quarterly and annual investor, lender, and regulatory reports.
- Support compliance tasks including LIHTC deadlines, REAC/MOR schedules, and other requirements.
- Conduct market research, rent studies, and comp analyses.
- Ensure data quality through routine audits, documentation and follow up meetings with property managers
- Support annual budgeting by loading financial inputs and validating data from partners and accounting teams
- Research operational or data challenges and recommend solutions
- Track Capital Expenditures and Replacement Reserve draws.
- Assist with Housing Choice Voucher rent roll updates.
- Support cash flow analysis and identify concerns related to upcoming distributions.
- Assist with documentation collection for audits, refinancing, and due diligence.
- Support ad hoc projects as assigned
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Data Analytics or related field.
- Experience in asset management, financial analysis or data governance a plus
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience with reporting tools and data manipulation a plus
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present data clearly and effectively
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in affordable housing, LIHTC, or real estate operations preferred.
