Job Description

The Used Equipment Sale Rep is a dynamic professional responsible for facilitating the sale of used equipment across various industries and territories. This role leverages their expertise in product knowledge, market trends, and customer relationships to match buyers with equipment that suits their operation and budget. The role requires a combination of sales acumen, technical understanding, negotiation skills, and a customer-focused approach.


Comp Package: Base Salary + Monthly Commission + Truck Allowance + Profit-Sharing + 401K with 6% match.


This role can be located in Irving or Selma, TX or other locations subject to discussion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify potential customers through various channels, including cold calling, networking events, online platforms, referrals, and industry contacts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to create sales opportunities and expand market reach.
  • Assess customers needs by understanding their operational requirements, budget constraints, and project goals. Recommend suitable used equipment solutions and present clear, honest information about product conditions, warranty options, and after-sales support.
  • Conduct price negotiations and facilitate agreement on terms of sale, including payment arrangements, delivery schedules, and return policies.
  • Provide ongoing support to customers after the sale, including resolving complaints and coordinating equipment servicing, Build long-term relationships to foster repeat business and referrals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns, online listings, print advertisements, and social media content that highlight the value and benefits of available used equipment.
  • Perform regular market research to identify emerging trends, pricing strategies, customer preferences, and competitive offers. Adjust sales strategies and inventory to respond to market changes.
  • Work closely with Directors of Sales, branch service departments, and other team members to ensure seamless operations and exceptional client experiences.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years sales or rental experience in the heavy/compact equipment or similar industry
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Computer skills required including all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude required.
  • This position requires a valid driver’s license and ability to meet requirements of the Company Driver Policy; the Company will review motor vehicle records annually for all employees for whom driving a motor vehicle is an essential job function or when employees must obtain and drive rental vehicles during the course of conducting company business.
