Description:
Responsible for handling referrals with priorities of Allegation of Abuse, Present Danger, or Imminent Danger as assigned. Conducts the initial review of the referral and ensures the well-being of the child until a better understanding of the family is obtained. Will coordinate visits to carry out the initial evaluation and design the action plan. Ensures compliance with the requirements established in the Abuse criteria according to Law 57, known as the “Law for the Prevention of Abuse, Preservation of the Family Unit, and the Safety, Well-being, and Protection of Minors.” Conducts interviews, home inspections, and analyzes documented case information and environmental risks. Documents interventions, interviews, findings, among others. Prepares the investigation report. Will be responsible for preparing the research plan according to identified needs. Evaluates whether there is Present Danger, i.e., an immediate, significant condition occurring in the present time that is endangering or threatening to endanger a child.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited university
- Current Social Worker license to practice in Puerto Rico
- Minimum of one year of experience in Customer Service and/or health-related scenarios
- Experience in managing computerized systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Authorized personal vehicle
