Job Title: GMP Technician (Cleanroom / Industrial Cleaning)
Job Description
This role prepares, processes, and repairs products in a cleanroom environment for life sciences manufacturing, strictly following Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) protocols and detailed specifications. You will perform routine cleaning, maintenance, inspections, and quality checks while ensuring full compliance with safety and contamination control standards. The position requires consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including a full cleanroom suit, gloves, and mask, as well as accurate, real-time documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain GMP facilities and cleanroom manufacturing areas in accordance with established procedures and contamination control standards.
- Wear a full cleanroom PPE suit (“bunny suit”), gloves, and mask at all required times while working inside the cleanroom environment.
- Complete FDA-related logs and documentation accurately and in real time, following Good Documentation Practices and site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Use push mops and other floor care equipment to clean floors in cleanrooms, warehouses, and office areas.
- Vacuum carpets and other designated surfaces as part of routine industrial cleaning.
- Clean and polish stainless steel surfaces to maintain a sanitary and contamination-free environment.
- Sweep and mop floors in various facility areas, including production spaces, hallways, and support rooms.
- Clean and restock restrooms, ensuring adequate supplies and a high standard of sanitation.
- Clean and restock break rooms and lunchrooms, including tables, counters, and shared equipment.
- Remove trash from designated areas, transport it to appropriate disposal locations, and maintain orderly waste management practices.
- Wash and clean windows and glass surfaces to maintain visibility and a professional facility appearance.
- Clean tables, doors, and other high-touch surfaces in offices, break rooms, and common areas.
- Perform general janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting throughout the facility.
- Support basic maintenance or minor repair work on facilities, grounds, and office areas as needed.
- Assist with product assembly, production support, and inspection activities when required, while maintaining quality and cleanliness standards.
- Follow all quality control, quality assurance, and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with GMP requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area and support internal audits and inspections as needed.
Essential Skills
- Experience or strong interest in working in a GMP, cleanroom, or industrial cleaning environment.
- Knowledge of or exposure to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) protocols and contamination control principles.
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks, including floor care with push mops, sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
- Ability to perform sanitation and quality-focused cleaning in production and support areas.
- Basic understanding of quality control, quality assurance, and inspection practices in a manufacturing or facility setting.
- Ability to read, write, and speak basic English to accurately complete logs, documentation, and follow written SOPs.
- Comfort working around strong chemicals for up to 4 hours at a time, following all safety instructions and PPE requirements.
- Capability to stand and remain on your feet for 8–12 hour shifts in a physically demanding role.
- Willingness to work first, second, third, or weekend shifts, including weekends and rotating days, as scheduled.
- Willingness to follow all site safety procedures and compliance requirements.
- Ability to interact in a friendly and approachable manner with coworkers and other personnel in the facility.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Approximately 1 year of experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or general labor in any type of facility is preferred.
- experience in sanitation, industrial cleaning, or facility maintenance is a plus.
- Experience with product assembly, production support, inspection, or quality-related tasks is beneficial.
- Familiarity with contamination control practices in life sciences or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
- Customer service experience, particularly in service-oriented or facilities roles, is helpful.
- Ability to adhere to a professional dress code, including khaki pants (no jeans) and a tucked-in shirt when not in full cleanroom PPE.
- Comfort working in both warehouse and office environments, as well as transitioning into cleanroom spaces.

Work Environment
The work environment includes warehouse, office, and cleanroom settings within a life sciences manufacturing facility. You will train on a first-shift schedule around 8:00 a.m. for an initial period before transitioning to your assigned shift. Available schedules include first shift (approximately 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.), second shift (approximately 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with rotating days), third shift (approximately 8:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.), and a weekend shift (approximately 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday through Sunday plus one additional weekday), all requiring availability to work weekends. The role is physically demanding and requires standing, walking, and moving on your feet for 8–12 hour shifts, as well as regular use of cleaning tools such as push mops, brooms, vacuums, and sanitation equipment. You will work around strong cleaning chemicals while wearing appropriate PPE, including a full cleanroom suit (“bunny suit”), gloves, and mask inside cleanrooms. Outside of cleanroom duties, a professional dress code applies, including khaki pants (no jeans), a tucked-in shirt, and no headphones. The facility emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety and quality standards in all work areas.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
