Join our team as a Painter where you will prime, paint, and touchup vehicles using power spray equipment and brushes. You will be responsible for masking, washing, conditioning parts, and performing light bodywork as needed. Additionally, you will disassemble, clean, repair, adjust, and reassemble painting equipment to ensure proper operation.
Responsibilities
- Prime, paint, and touchup vehicles with power spray equipment and brushes.
- Mask, unmask, or adjust masking as necessary to ensure specifications are met.
- Clean, wash, and condition parts as necessary, and perform light bodywork.
- Disassemble, clean, repair, adjust, and reassemble painting equipment for proper operation.
- Flush tanks, hoses, and guns prior to color changeovers.
- Mix all types of paints for proper color, formula, conditions, viscosity, and consistency.
- Perform titrations and mix or adjust chemicals as necessary in paint, zinc, or other processes.
- Apply decals, stencils, and rust-proofing as required.
- Maintain upkeep of work area and equipment, including preventative maintenance tasks.
- Inspect product before, during, and after the paint process to ensure specifications are met.
- Transport, move or guide parts, subassemblies, or assemblies before, during, or after the paint process to the next operation.
Essential Skills
- 6+ months of painting experience in automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1+ year of painting experience in automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop settings.

We offer a competitive benefits package along with a shift differential of $1.75 for working the 2nd or 3rd shift. Work Environment
This position operates inside paint booths with a strong paint odor in a hot work environment. Painters are required to wear a full paint suit and respirator, so facial hair should be minimal for proper respirator fit. Dress code includes jeans, steel-toed boots, and a clean work shirt. The work culture encourages both independent and collaborative work. Currently, overtime is minimal, but once fully staffed, expect to work approximately 40-45 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $47320.00 - $54912.00/yr.
Sign On Bonus: Eligible for full time employees (Contractors would be eligible upon conversion) $1,500 Total $500 @ 3 months of employment $500 @ 6 months of employment $500 @ 12 months of employment
