Compensation & Benefits
- $75,000 – $95,000, depending on experience.

Overview
We are looking for a seasoned accounting professional to take the lead on all financial and accounting activities across a diverse group of businesses, which includes a commercial landscaping company and several related real estate entities. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting, monthly reporting, investor support, and long-term financial planning, while helping build and strengthen the organization’s financial infrastructure as it continues to expand. The position offers scheduling flexibility.
Primary Responsibilities
General Accounting & Operations
- Oversee AP, AR, billing, and payroll for multiple companies.
- Handle bank and credit card reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, and ensure the accuracy of all financial records.
- Produce monthly financial statements, management reporting packages, and detailed variance reviews.
- Collaborate with outside CPA firms on tax filings, audits, and year-end requirements.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve data integrity.
Financial Analysis & Planning
- Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting across all entities.
- Monitor actual performance vs. budget and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Build and enhance financial models to support business planning and growth initiatives.
Investor & Property Support
- Prepare quarterly reporting, investor updates, distribution schedules, and capital account summaries.
- Assist property management teams with tenant-level accounting, expense allocations, and budget review.
- Coordinate with ownership on reporting needs, cash requirements, and investment planning.
Systems & Process Enhancement
- Maintain and optimize accounting systems including QuickBooks Online, Expensify, Yardi Breeze, and related platforms.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline.
- At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in real estate, construction, or multi-entity environments.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel; experience with Yardi Breeze or comparable property software is a major plus.
- Solid understanding of GAAP, intercompany accounting, and investor-level reporting.
