Stack Metallurgical Services LLC is seeking a friendly, customer service-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Shipping/Receiving Clerk.
Basic computer skills, data entry, prior experience working in a warehouse, and forklift operation experience is preferred.
Monday-Friday, Day shifts
Summary
The Shipping/Receiving Clerk performs receiving inspections on material in preparation for Order Entry, assists customers in-house and answers the phone when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manages shipping paperwork and purchase orders, including printing, proofing and filing, in a neat and orderly fashion
- Assists the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor with monitoring shipping email account for customer requests
- Provides good customer service to both internal and external customers
- Loads and unloads both company and customer vehicles
- Assists with upholding department 5S standards throughout the day and at the end of shift, including emptying trash and recycling bins and cleaning shipping area
- Maintains 5S board for department and completes tasks and inspections, as needed
- Communicates to Order Entry special handling/processing instruction for parts, due dates, etc.
- Discusses all feedback received from customers with Shipping/Receiving Supervisor and/or Management
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Accurately completes receiving inspection
- Applies identification tags to all material
- Packages parts for shipment
- Assists with wrapping and preparing jobs for afternoon and next day deliveries
- Follows paperwork flow, QA and Shop Floor policies and procedures
- Answers phone
- Operates forklift
- Attendance is a critical component of position: punctual, regular and predictable
- Maintains neat, legible handwriting
