Job Description

We're Tend — Dental Done Differently.

Tend was founded to make going to the dentist something people actually look forward to. We blend thoughtfully designed studios, top-tier clinical care, advanced technology, and a hospitality-driven mindset to create a dental experience that's human, personalized, and exceptional from start to finish.

Since launching in 2019, we've delivered care to over 100,000 patients across New York, Washington DC, Boston, Atlanta, and Nashville. With thousands of five-star reviews and over 650 passionate team members, Tend is one of the fastest-growing and highest-rated dental brands in the country — and we're just getting started.

Whether you're delivering care in our studios or supporting our growth behind the scenes, every role at Tend contributes to reimagining the future of dental health — for patients and for the people who care for them.

We're growing fast — and we're looking for values-driven, mission-aligned talent to grow with us.

Schedule: Full-time | 5 days a week Mon - Fri, must be open to Saturdays if needed | Must be open to local travel to support orthodontic needs across multiple studios

At Tend, our Orthodontic Treatment Coordinators are at the heart of delivering exceptional specialty care. You're the first smile our members see when they arrive for orthodontic treatment — and the steady guide who supports them from consultation to case acceptance and beyond.

This role is dynamic, people-first, and deeply collaborative. You'll work closely with our orthodontists and studio teams to coordinate care across multiple locations, ensuring each patient feels informed, confident, and excited about their smile transformation. From presenting customized treatment plans to navigating insurance and payment options, you'll be a trusted partner in their journey.

If you're passionate about service, love building relationships, and thrive in fast-paced environments where every detail matters — this role is for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Be the warm and welcoming face of the orthodontic experience — whether in-person or virtually

  • Own the full check-in and check-out process with professionalism and empathy

  • Travel locally within the market to support orthodontic consultations, follow-ups, and treatment starts across studios

  • Present orthodontic treatment plans with clarity and enthusiasm, helping patients understand their options and feel confident about their care

  • Guide financial conversations — including insurance breakdowns, out-of-pocket estimates, and flexible payment solutions

  • Support the Orthodontist chairside during consultations by preparing forms, images, and case documentation

  • Partner with Studio Managers and clinicians to ensure seamless scheduling, clinical flow, and case progression

  • Use sound judgment and Tend tools to resolve patient questions or concerns in real time

  • Coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and align on case progress across the team

  • Maintain a tidy, safe, and compliant environment across studio visits

  • Participate in daily huddles to align on same-day cases and upcoming treatment needs

  • Respond to patient inquiries with accuracy, warmth, and professionalism

  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork, respect, and exceptional service

What You Have:

  • 1–2 years of healthcare experience required (dental or orthodontic strongly preferred)

  • Experience presenting treatment plans, ideally in ortho or specialty dental settings

  • Comfortable discussing procedures, clinical timelines, and financial obligations with patients

  • Knowledge of insurance verification, benefits coordination, and billing practices

  • Experience with dental practice software (Dentrix a plus)

  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail

  • Clear, confident communication skills — both written and verbal

  • Team-oriented mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mobile environment

  • Adaptable, proactive, and passionate about patient-first service

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to various studios within your local market

What We Offer:

  • Compensation: Competitive pay and opportunity to grow

  • Health Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and telemedicine options — with Tend covering a significant portion of premiums

  • Wellness Perks: Free dental care for you and discounted care for family; cosmetic and orthodontic discounts included

  • Financial Benefits: 401(k) with company match, HSA/FSA options

  • Paid Time Off: Generous PTO that grows with your tenure + paid holidays

  • Extra Coverage: Voluntary add-ons like accident and critical illness protection

  • Resources: Access to our Employee Assistance Program and additional discounts

Join us in transforming orthodontic care — where every patient leaves with a confident smile and every team member feels proud of the work they do.

Pay Range$20—$30 USD
