LMD - a change agency, is a woman-owned small business seeking an experienced Tech Editor to join our fast-paced, award-winning, full-service marketing & communications team. The successful candidate will edit, proofread, and write content and copy for a variety of agency products. Adheres to strategic messaging and approved talking points to appeal to the client’s target audiences. Meets with the client and/or team lead to identify the client’s business objectives and target audiences, as well as products and services. Brainstorm creative concepts with other members of the writing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and proofread written materials for typographical, grammatical, and formatting errors, ensuring products are of consistent quality.
- Research copy and content for factual accuracy.
- Provide clear feedback and explanations for recommended edits based on required style guides and subject matter.
- Apply plain language principles (www.plainlanguage.gov) and solid grammar.
Qualifications:
- Currently holds, or is able to obtain, DHS Fitness Determination.
- BS/BA in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience:
- Providing all writing, editing, proofreading, and creative conception as requested, for any of the following materials: reports, news releases, fact sheets, website text, and public speaking scripts.
- Developing and maintaining technical reports, white papers, and training material.
- Writing, editing, and formatting policies and process documentation.
- Documenting workflows and technical specifications.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- General understanding of cybersecurity and critical infrastructure resilience.
- Must be comfortable and able to work on short deadlines with minimal client input.
- Excellent communication skills, especially written.
- Strong research and organizational skills.
- PR agency, corporate, or government agency experience is preferred.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks and handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Salary Range:
$65,000- $95,000 a year
