Job Overview
Reporting to the Corporate controller you will play an instrumental role within the finance team. You will have the opportunity to optimize accounting and consolidation processes and systems for the control and timely delivery of Nuvei’s consolidated financial statements, notes and related financial information. You will actively manage Nuvei’s consolidation system and disclosure management system. Bring your curiosity, consolidation and accounting expertise as well as your process improvement experience in this opportunity to support Nuvei’s requirements in a fast-paced and globally expanding company. You’ll need to possess a solid background in consolidation of multiple entities and currencies, accounting operations and systems combined with a meticulous, structured and hands-on approach to join our growing global organization as the director, Consolidation and Financial Reporting.
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
- Prepare, consolidate and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and related disclosures prepared under IFRS for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Manage and support the business with our consolidation tool to support an efficient and scalable consolidation workflow and ensure appropriate and timely delivery of financial information.
- Manage project related to system improvement in consolidation system and disclosure management system.
- Support the integration of acquired companies including alignment of the account structure, preparation of new consolidation journal entries and disclosures.
- Lead implementation of new and/or revised accounting or reporting requirements.
- Lead analysis and documentation of complex financial accounting (IFRS) matters such as purchase price allocations, revenue recognition, financial instruments, etc. to ensure they are accounted for as appropriate and on a timely basis.
- Support quarterly reviews and year-end external audit
- Identify and lead continuous improvements projects around the financial close process.
- Interact with the different business units and corporate departments;
- Support the corporate controller
Qualifications (Skills/Experience)
- CPA with 10 years of experience with public companies and/or audit firms
- Strong IFRS accounting expertise and consolidation knowledge in a multi-currency, multi-site environment
- Solid understanding of consolidation workflows, tools and controls with, ideally, a system implementation or major upgrade project experience
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving and process improvement;
- High level of energy, focused on achieving results and meeting business targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

- Experience with OneStream and Workiva
Working Language
- English (written and spoken) is the language used 99% of the time, as work colleagues and clientele are both geographically dispersed within and outside of Quebec.
- Internal communications between colleagues occur in English or in French, depending on the parties involved. Strategic suppliers are located outside of Quebec.
