Located in the Washington DC area, this full-time School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide speech therapy services to K-8 students within a respected public school district. Serving elementary and middle school populations, the role supports a caseload averaging 50 students, ensuring personalized, impactful interventions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering speech and language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring for a caseload not exceeding 55 students.
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
  • Adapting therapy strategies to meet diverse student needs.
  • Participating in professional development and supervision when applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia SLP licensure is required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows will be considered with supervision provided.
  • Experience in school-based settings is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours/week), Monday through Friday; part-time candidates must commit to at least 20 hours/week.
  • Willingness to be assigned to a maximum of two schools based on fit and location.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

This contract role runs from January 5 to May 29, 2026. The position allows for direct impact on student communication success while offering the stability of a defined school calendar schedule.
