Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in the Washington DC area, this full-time School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide speech therapy services to K-8 students within a respected public school district. Serving elementary and middle school populations, the role supports a caseload averaging 50 students, ensuring personalized, impactful interventions.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring for a caseload not exceeding 55 students.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Adapting therapy strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Participating in professional development and supervision when applicable.
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP licensure is required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows will be considered with supervision provided.
- Experience in school-based settings is desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours/week), Monday through Friday; part-time candidates must commit to at least 20 hours/week.
- Willingness to be assigned to a maximum of two schools based on fit and location.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
This contract role runs from January 5 to May 29, 2026. The position allows for direct impact on student communication success while offering the stability of a defined school calendar schedule.
