TMB has an exciting opportunity for an Acquisition Cost Estimator to provide financial analysis support to a U.S. Navy program office.
Responsibilities
- The Acquisition Cost Estimator utilizes analytical skills daily to interpret complex construction documents and translate them into accurate cost projections.
- Proficiency with estimating software enables efficient and precise calculation of material and labor costs, ensuring competitive and realistic budgets.
- Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills help maintain comprehensive cost databases and track market trends effectively.
- Additionally, negotiation and problem-solving abilities support the evaluation of vendor bids and the identification of cost-saving opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience providing Cost Estimating support to a DoD/DON acquisition program office.
- Prior experience supporting Naval Special Warfare (NSW) undersea manned and unmanned programs and/or Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) programs is desired.
- Education experience: candidates desire to have a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, mathematics, engineering or another applicable field.
- Candidate must have a Secret Clearance.
