Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity calls for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-3 students in a center-based classroom setting within a dynamic school environment in the northern suburbs of Denver, CO. Serving a small caseload of up to 5 students with moderate to severe special needs, this role offers the chance to make a significant impact while working alongside two committed paraprofessionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with moderate to severe disabilities in grades K-3.
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals to implement effective educational strategies.
  • Manage and adapt classroom activities tailored to the unique needs of each student.
  • Communicate progress and collaborate with families, staff, and specialists.
  • Participate in a prescreen call and a panel interview as part of the selection process.

Qualifications:

  • Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Teaching certification.
  • Experience working with moderate to severe special needs students preferred.
  • Strong classroom management and individualized planning skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with support staff and families.
  • Commitment to maintaining a positive, supportive classroom environment.

Location: Northern Denver suburbs, Colorado (Meadow Community School serving K-8).

Employment Details:

  • Position available ASAP through May 29, 2026.
  • Caseload currently includes 3 students, with a maximum of 5.
  • Spring break is in progress; outreach to the client will follow application submissions.
  • This is a travel role serving a school setting outside immediate locality.
