Position Overview:Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient Med Surg

Location: Our Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Weekend Option | Friday & Saturday | Part-Time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Night Shift | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Sign-On Bonus:

  • Experienced Nurses: Up to $10,000
  • New Graduate Nurses (less than 1 year of experience): Up to $5,000

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will apply the nursing process and the Mercy Nursing Conceptual Framework to deliver exceptional patient care. You will be accountable for the care of assigned patients and will collaborate with various departments to ensure comprehensive patient management while upholding patient rights and confidentiality.

Qualifications

Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program with one of the following:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Nursing Diploma
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure: A current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or compact licensure is required, in compliance with state nursing board regulations.

Experience: Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred and may be necessary depending on the specific unit.

Certifications:

  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: BSN is preferred
  • Licensure: Additional state licenses or specialty certifications are advantageous
  • Experience: Prior experience in a specialty area or similar clinical environment is preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to regularly push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as necessary for nursing duties
