Must be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB or hold Nuclear Medicine certification ARRT(N) and have a minimium of 1+ years Nuclear Medicine experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Perform specialized nuclear medicine imaging procedures in both departmental and mobile settings, contributing to accurate diagnostic and therapeutic services. This contract role involves working with advanced equipment and radioactive materials, ensuring safety and quality care for patients across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under supervision.
  • Utilize gamma cameras and related computer systems for imaging.
  • Ensure patient and radiation safety through proper handling of radioactive materials and monitoring equipment.
  • Participate in teaching and research activities related to nuclear medicine.
  • Work flexibly between in-department and mobile imaging environments.
  • Apply PET/CT attenuation correction techniques if certified in nuclear medicine technology.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited nuclear medicine program.
  • Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and/or the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within three months of hire.
  • Strong knowledge of radioactive materials, doses, and flood sources.
  • Experience with patient monitoring and radiation safety equipment.
  • Proficiency with computer systems linked to gamma cameras.
  • Preferred: prior clinical experience, effective communication skills, and familiarity with various gamma camera manufacturers.
