Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time speech-language pathology opportunity is available in Norfolk, VA, serving a diverse K-12 student caseload from preschool through 12th grade. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year and offers the potential for both full-time and part-time arrangements based on candidate availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for speech and language disorders across all grade levels including preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support students communication and academic success.
- Maintain detailed records and progress notes in compliance with school and state regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide input on student IEPs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings, with caseloads spanning early childhood through high school.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations, including those with various communication disorders.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
