American Traveler is seeking an experienced Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer skilled in adult acute care echocardiography and vascular studies.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in an acute care hospital setting
- Responsible for adult and acute care patient population
- Perform a variety of echocardiography procedures including 2-D Echo, Color Doppler, Bubble Study, M-Mode, and imaging with contrast agents
- Perform vascular studies including carotid, lower and upper extremity arterial and venous, transcranial Doppler, duplex, and peripheral vascular resistance assessments
- Variable daytime and evening shifts, including 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, and 2:00 PM start times
- Weekend coverage 1-2 times per month and on-call rotation of 3 shifts per month
- Procedures may be conducted in ICU and Emergency Department settings
- Utilizes Siemens equipment
- Responsible for obtaining and analyzing high-quality echocardiograms and vascular studies
- Expected to follow isolation precautions as needed
- Preferred experience with neonatal heart assessments
- Team provides coverage for variable shifts and participates in required weekend and call schedules

- Current ARDMS or CCI RCS certification required
- License required if applicable
- Proficient in performing 2-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, M-Mode, Diastology, LV Strain and Volume measurements, Simpson’s Rule, and use of contrast agents
- Experienced with portable studies and EKG/ECG acquisition
- Skilled in vascular ultrasound procedures including carotid, Doppler, duplex, lower/upper extremity arterial and venous, and transcranial Doppler
- Experience with adult acute care and ICU/ED patient procedures
