JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Texas Care provides a continuum of community- based behavioral health programs to assist individuals in their recovery from mental illness and/or addictive disorders. The Behavioral Health Administrative Support Staff works closely under the direction of the Clinical Director supporting Texas Care locations throughout the state of Texas. The Behavioral Health Administrative Support Staff performs a wide variety of clerical duties to support the Clinical Director and behavioral health team.
WORK ACTIVITIES:
• Contract and Credentialing: Ensure all Texas Care locations, franchisee locations, and staff are contracted and credentialed with insurance and payors. Update
Clinical Director with contracting and credentialing status routinely as directed. Utilize and manage online credentialing software currently being used for credentialing purposes.
• Quality Assurance: May performs routine quality assurance phone calls with clients and documents in progress note in individual charts. Submits contact report regarding status of phone contacts to Clinical Director.
• Administrative and Clerical Duties: Assist with other administrative and clerical tasks and training when needed.
• Chart and Audit Review: Assists as directed by Clinical Director in routine monitor of individual charts following the approved chart audit from.
• Files all client documentation in individual charts within one (1) business day of receipt of documentation.
• Answers telephone calls. Screen and routes callers to appropriate locations and
personnel.
• Manages incoming requests for behavioral health services and prioritizes appointments using a brief assessment format over the telephone or in-person.
• Provides excellent customer service by using polite and positive language that makes people feel welcome, important, and appreciated.
• Inform staff of visitor arrival, checks for staff availability, and schedules appointments.
• Checks of mail and faxes and distributes to appropriate staff members.
