Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a contract assignment. The ER RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department serving all age groups and diverse patient populations. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in high-acuity situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
- Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately and timely
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Respond effectively to trauma and emergency situations
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Unit Details
- Emergency Department with 15 main beds plus a 6-bed fast-track unit
- Coverage includes day, evening, and night shifts
- Holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Active and current Hawaii Registered Nurse license (must be valid at time of submission)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Experience using EPIC EMR preferred
- Ability to work all shifts as needed
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
