Forklift / Hi-Lo Driver Job Description

A Forklift/Hi-Lo Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, load, unload, and organize materials within warehouses, manufacturing plants, and distribution centers.

5AM-4PM (Shift) Monday - Thursday

Contract to Hire after 90-days

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts, hi-los, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.

  • Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other products to designated storage or production areas.

  • Perform routine equipment checks, including fueling, charging, and minor maintenance.

  • Ensure proper stacking, labeling, and securing of materials to prevent damage.

  • Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory transactions.

  • Follow all workplace safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and company policies.

  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Valid forklift/hi-lo certification (company or OSHA-approved).

  • Proven experience operating forklifts or hi-los in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely.

  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

  • Basic math, reading, and inventory management skills.

  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or shifts if required.
