    Job Details
  • Registered Nurse responsible for nursing care and safety of patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills, critical thinking, efficiency, serves as a resource to students and new caregivers, and participates in quality improvement.
  • Collaborates with pre-operative care RN to assess patient needs and procedure requirements.
  • Develops and communicates nursing care plans.
  • Responds to patient comfort needs and family health information requests.
  • Uses aseptic practices and monitors compliance within the surgical team.
  • Supports, educates, and reassures patients and families.
  • Integrates theoretical knowledge into clinical expertise.
  • Develops focused assessment and critical thinking skills using evidence-based research.
  • Evaluates quality and effectiveness of nursing care and participates in improvement activities.
  • Documents equipment and supply usage and assists with inventory management.
  • Promotes mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and abides by service behavior standards.
  • May float to other perioperative departments or nursing units as needed.
  • May be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.
    Job Requirements
  • Must be experienced with the technical portion of GI equipment.
  • Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused outcomes.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports and effectively present information.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to perform basic math and apply concepts of algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Regular attendance during scheduled business hours or shifts is required.
  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice (Colorado).
  • Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
    Schedule Information
  • Day shift, 8 AM start.
  • 9 hours per day.
  • 36 hours per week.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Unit involves endoscopic and invasive procedures with or without sedation.
  • May float to other perioperative departments or nursing units within scope and qualifications.
    Additional Details
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution is managed by client credentialing.
