Reports To: Controller
Responsibilities: Under the direct supervision of the Controller, the Accounting Clerk job position is responsible for the following:
• Accounts Receivable
o Assist Controller with monthly billing tasks as needed
o Respond to and correct Member inquiries about statement discrepancies
• Accounts Payable
o Code all Vendor invoices and assign them to Managers for approval
o Enter invoices into accounting system once approved
o Record Vendor payments into accounting system once processed
o Reconcile Vendor statements
o Print weekly manual checks
• Data Entry
o Code monthly credit card expenses into accounting system
o Assist Controller with billing of events as needed
o Support Controller with Bank Reconciliation data entry as needed
• Mail Retrieval
o Pick-up/sort mail from mailbox
o Scan/upload Vendor invoices into A/P processing website
o Deposit/record incoming checks
• Other Tasks
o Management of Accounting email address for Member/Vendor inquiries
o Assist with Human Resources tasks such as Employee Onboarding/Offboarding
o Support Controller with any other accounting tasks as needed
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in clerical accounting, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), accounting software (PlateIQ and/or Clubessentials is a plus), databases, and financial reporting tools
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
Compensation/Benefits:
• Part-Time (20-25 hours per week), Contract position (3-5 months in length)
• Hourly rate of $30.00 per hour, paid semi-monthly
• Eligible for annual Membership-Paid bonus
