Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Naples, Florida. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to key financial processes, including general ledger management, journal entries, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Sage Intacct and advanced Excel skills, such as working with formulas and pivot tables.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
• Handle fixed asset accounting, including tracking, depreciation, and reporting.
• Perform month-end close procedures, including account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Utilize Sage Intacct to streamline and manage accounting tasks effectively.
• Develop and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets with formulas and pivot tables for financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations by preparing and filing accurate reports.• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct for accounting processes and reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
• Strong understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close procedures.
• Experience managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and depreciation processes.
• Ability to prepare and file sales tax reports accurately.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
