Voigt-Abernathy isan established supplier and distributor of industrial and commercial process and rotating equipment, including pumps, filtration, and other related machineryprovide equipment and engineering services to industrial markets across the Southeast, Gulf Coast, and other regions, focusing on quality, technical support, and aftermarket services.


Dues & Responsibilities

  • Purchase stock and non-stock items.
  • Confirming purchase orders w/ vendors order confirmations.
  • Expedite back orders.
  • Maintain processional relationships with all suppliers.
  • Search available products for the best quality, price, and delivery combination.
  • Keep detailed records and prepare and submit necessary report.


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills
  • Analytical and mathematical capabilities to compare prices and quantities and consider vendor contract terms
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Willingness to make quick and thoughtful decisions on behalf of the business
  • Effective relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, supply chain management, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in a purchasing role.
  • Certification is preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc...)
