Job Description
We are seeking a Carpenter who is willing to learn! The role entails working on interior fit-outs, remodels, and ground-up projects of varying sizes. Responsibilities include steel stud framing, drywall installation, interior door and hardware installation, flooring, and general carpentry tasks. Basic demolition and assistance with light plumbing and electrical work may also be required. Candidates must have the ability to read blueprints, work safely, and maintain a clean and organized job site. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, safety awareness, and a willingness to learn are essential.
Responsibilities
- Perform steel stud framing and drywall installation.
- Install interior doors and hardware.
- Conduct flooring and general carpentry tasks.
- Assist with basic demolition and light plumbing and electrical work.
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Ensure job site cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain a strong safety awareness and follow safety protocols.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Essential Skills
- Carpentry experience
- Proficiency in steel stud framing and drywall.

- Experience with remodels and ground-up construction.

Work Environment
The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings. The role requires working in physically demanding conditions, including standing, lifting, climbing, and bending. It may involve working at heights using ladders or lifts. This is a Contract position based out of Urbana, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $33.00/hr.
